Website Service Terms
Plain-language terms for the Complete One-Year Website Package. Please read before purchasing.
1. The Package and Price
The Complete One-Year Website Package is priced at $999, paid upfront in a single payment. This price covers the scope described below.
2. Scope of Work
Work covered by the package is limited to the stated scope. The standard package includes up to five pages. One reasonable revision round is included before launch. Requests outside the approved scope — such as additional pages, custom features, or significant redesign work — can require a separate quote.
3. Domain Registration
A standard, available domain costing up to $25 is included in the package. Premium or unusually priced domains cost extra and require additional payment and your written approval before purchase.
4. Hosting, Domain Service, and Security
Hosting, domain service, and standard SSL/security configuration are included for one year from the website's launch date.
5. Renewal
After the first included year, renewal is $150 per year. Renewal covers continued standard domain registration, hosting, and security service. Renewal does not include redesigns, new pages, new features, or major content changes.
6. Post-Launch Updates
The first included year comes with two small post-launch content-update requests (for example, updating text, a phone number, or a photo). Larger update requests can be quoted separately.
7. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must provide accurate information and must have permission to use all submitted photos, logos, reviews, and written content. Customer delays in providing information or approval can delay launch.
8. No Guaranteed Results
ClearForge does not guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, revenue, or sales resulting from the website.
9. Third-Party Services
Third-party services used in connection with the website — including domain registrars, email providers, Cloudflare, and Stripe — remain subject to their own availability, terms, and policies.
10. Payment and Refunds
Custom digital work becomes non-refundable once final customization or launch work begins, except where otherwise required by law.
11. Technical Corrections
ClearForge can correct genuine technical problems within the agreed scope of the package.
12. Renewal Non-Payment
ClearForge may suspend an expired website after reasonable renewal notices if the annual renewal is not paid.
13. Ownership
The customer's business content — including their text, photos, logo, and reviews they've supplied — remains theirs. Reusable templates, development methods, and general code components used to build the site may remain ClearForge property.
